McKee Intercom Systems

Metro uses the The 120 HoistCom from McKee communications.  This system is easy to install and will operate on any elevator/hoist with a power or steel wire cable going from the base to the car. No antenna wires are needed. Signal is transmitting between the car and building floor units by inducing onto the ground leg of power cable or around the whole cable.

Major System Components

Communication Unit HCU

The Hoist communication Units (HCU)’s are mounted in each personnel hoist car and at the base enclosure. They are powered by 110 VAC and house at the electronic FM circuitry

Coupler Unit – CU-1

The Coupler Units (CU-1)’s are mounted inside the car’s electrical enclosure and the base disconnect mounted at the base of the tower. They are connected to their respective HCU by a two conductor wire.

Floor Call Unit

The Floor Call Units (FCU)’s are mounted at each floor landing and simply daisy chain together with the supplied 20′ riser cables that have special quick connecting plugs at each end.
